The Aggregate Multiple Plants Manager is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and operational oversight for multiple sand and gravel operations and limestone quarries producing approximately 3 million tons of aggregates annually. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality production while driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and a positive team culture across all assigned sites.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Lead, coach, and support plant supervisors to ensure efficient daily operations at all facilities.
- →Develop, manage, and monitor budgets and forecasts for assigned plant sites; forecast raw material needs and implement operational plans to reduce production costs.
- →Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify and resolve nonconformities or production issues.
- →Develop and implement operational methods and procedures to eliminate issues, improve product quality, and enhance overall production efficiency.
- →Compile, maintain, and present production and financial data and analysis to management.
- →Monitor inventory levels and work with plant teams to prevent product loss and contamination.
- →Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and lead operational performance across sites.
- →Implement effective maintenance planning practices to minimize downtime, coordinate maintenance scheduling with internal shops and external service providers.
- →Ensure plant sites are clean, organized, and compliant with housekeeping standards.
- →Identify opportunities for operational expansion or improvement in response to market changes.
- →Ensure consistent adoption and adherence to policies and procedures across the aggregate department.
- →Oversee regulatory compliance and ensure all legal documentation is filed accurately and on time.
- →Provide guidance and direction to employees; monitor activities to ensure safe and productive work practices.
- →Clearly communicate job expectations and performance standards.
- →Promote and maintain a positive work environment and team culture.
- →Manage escalated employee performance matters professionally and effectively.
- Proven experience in aggregates, drilling, blasting, dragline and dredge experience.
- 5-10 years of leadership experience preferred, with a demonstrated ability to coach and develop teams.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA/MSHA, DEQ, and DOT as applicable to aggregate operations.
- Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and cost controls preferred.
- Highly self-directed, motivated, and capable of operating with minimal supervision.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience empowering and developing others.
- Excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple competing demands under daily operational pressure.
- Proficient in computers and mobile devices, including Microsoft Office and similar applications.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to maintain a clean motor vehicle record.
Degree or equivalent experience/education in mining, manufacturing, civil or related engineering field
Requirements

- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.
- Willingness to travel out of town for training or seminars.
