REEVES | Skilled Laborer (Quarry) - Blacksburg, SC

Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Skilled Laborer based in Blacksburg Quarry. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

• →Work will involve physical exertion of a practical nature.  
• →Individual may have limited or no experience in road and/or site construction.
• →Operate equipment as needed or assigned for ground cleanup.
• →Compelte daily plant walks around inspections of plant components whiel greasin and lubrication.
• →Ground control cleanup, shoveling and housekeeping with the plant areas.
• →Ability to work safely and follow the policies and procedures of the company.
• →Lift, carry and hold materials, tools and supplies.

• Must demonstrate excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards.
• Must have reliable transportation. 
• Must wear proper attire at all times including safety vests, safety glasses, long pants, above the ankle/safety-toed shoes, and reflect a clean and presentable image.
• Continuous mental and visual attention is necessary to safely and effectively complete work tasks.
• Project a positive and cooperative attitude by maintaining courteous and professional conduct with Supervisors, co-workers, customers, and the general public.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence. 
• Ability to write simple correspondence.  
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two- step instructions.  
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
