The newest Primary Care Physician at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) will join a group of experienced, dedicated, and compassionate medical providers to provide high-quality primary care to some of the most vulnerable patients in the Denver metro area. This physician will care for individuals currently or formerly experiencing homelessness in fast-paced, exciting, and varied environments. No two days are the same. This position will serve across various programs including the Stout Street Health Center, the Recuperative Care Center, Street Medicine, home visits, Health Outreach Program (mobile clinic), and satellite clinics. The physician will deliver care using the principles of motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and trauma-Informed care to support patients in achieving better health outcomes.
NOTE: In order to ensure that our consumers receive the best possible care the candidate chosen to fill this position will be required to complete our internal credentialing and privileging process prior to a start date. The credentialing and privileging timeline is dependent on the selected candidate's submission of documents necessary for clearance. Please note that a start date will be scheduled once credentialing and privileging is complete.
Valid driver’s license required. This requirement may be waived, if necessary, based on overall candidate experience and current needs of the business and/or role.

Provide direct, high-quality primary medical care to people experiencing homelessness.
Exhibit a positive attitude and a commitment to social justice in all aspects of patient care.
Utilize motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care principles when working with patients.
Collaborate effectively with other primary care medical providers as well as the multidisciplinary healthcare team (psychiatry, behavioral health, case management, dental, vision) to ensure comprehensive care.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Demonstrated experience caring for patients experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, poverty and/or mental illness.
Current licensure or ability to obtain licensure in the State of Colorado as a physician.
Current DEA licensure.
Education
Medical Degree or Doctor of Osteopathy Degree from an accredited school of medicine.
Completion of an accredited Residency Program in the physician's specialty.
Board Certified or Board Eligible status in the physician's speciality.
