A Housekeeping Associate plays an important role in maintaining the Inn standard of cleanliness. Competent skills in cleaning, time management and guest relations are required to guarantee the highest level of guest services. Associate must have physical capabilities as well for bending, stooping and lifting. Flexibility and reliability is a must with scheduling as associates will be required to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  1. Be punctual and dressed in proper work attire.
  2. Follow procedures for assigned areas to ensure cleanliness.
  3. Service and clean all areas of guest rooms including: High dusting, windows, shutters, bed & frame, couch, accent furniture, desk & chair, lighting, rugs, hardwood floors, fireplace, toilet, sink, bathtub, tile floor, refrigerator, coffee station, stairs, closets, etc.
  4. Service and clean all common areas as assigned: Lobby- high dusting, artwork, fireplace, bookshelves, accent furniture, couches & chairs, desk, carpets, hardwood floors, stairs, elevators, etc.
  5. Perform daily laundry duties: Stain treatment and removal, wash, dry, fold and store all linens including towels, sheets, blankets, duvet covers, bed skirts, shower curtains, restaurant napkins & table clothes, and other items as needed.
  6. On going deep cleaning of all rooms to be done at least once a quarter for each room.
  7. Adhere to Inn policies to guarantee all areas have been cleaned.
  8. Guest courtesy is of high importance, while working noise volume should be kept to a minimum to prevent guest disturbance.
  9. Assist team members, once assigned work has been completed, to finish all tasks for the day.
  10. Restock cart at the end of every shift.
  11. Room inspections will be a daily occurrence; you must inform your supervisor once rooms have been completed.
  12. All housekeeping staff must notify a management member prior to clocking out and leaving.
  13. Follow procedures for key use.
  14. Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions.
  15. Scheduled shifts may vary depending on occupancy; you will be required to stay later if work is not completed.
