Position Hire Date: Fall 2026 School Season

CommQuest seeks a Licensed Counselor for our School Based Mental Health (SBMH) Provider Team to deliver counseling services to students and families in K-12 / Continuing education. You will lend your expertise to the behavioral needs of the school environment demonstrating how CommQuest is the top choice for mental health, addiction recovery and community services.

We cater to Canton City, Perry, Minerva, and North Canton Local School Districts!

CommQuest Services is one of the largest non-profit mental health, addiction recovery, and social services organizations in Northeast Ohio, working with clients from more than 34 counties in 12 facilities through more than 20 programs. We help people make positive changes in their lives through in-patient, outpatient and school-based programs, along with supportive services - from basic needs to employment assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, develop, and lead an integrated continuum of care
  • Address barriers to learning and lead improved behavioral and academic outcomes for students
  • Develop treatment and discharge plans
  • Provide strength-based counseling interventions, crisis intervention, and individual/group counseling
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Dayshift; Monday- Friday. Paid Summers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field is required
  • Minimum LPC or LSW from the State of Ohio is required
  • Minimum of 2+ years post licensure experience a plus
  • Counselor-Trainee or Social Work-Trainee may be considered with previous experience in the field. Must remain enrolled in a Master's level Clinical Counseling or Social Work program and be registered with OCSWMFTB as a Trainee.
