Our EMEA Energy team, with 60 professionals across Europe, is at the forefront of the transformation of energy markets. We advise governments, regulators, energy companies, financial investors, and legal counsels on issues spanning:

- Market design and regulation of electricity,  gas and H2 markets along the value chain
- Energy transition strategies, climate policy, carbon markets, and decarbonisation pathways
- Industrial decarbonisation and industrial competitiveness
- Valuation of energy assets and investment decisions for utilities, infrastructure funds, and industrials
- Market modelling and financial modelling
- Competition and State aid investigations
- Regulatory and commercial disputes, including arbitration and litigation support

Our company is global, and our team main focus is on Europe, Africa and the Middle East, with projects in over 25 countries in the past year.

Our work combines cutting-edge economic research, deep energy sector expertise with applied market and financial modelling to help clients navigate the rapid transformation of energy systems.


About the Role
 
We are looking for an Intern to start as soon as possible. Interns join us whilst in their final year of Bachelor or Master’s degree for 3 to 6 months. Please indicate in your cover letter when you would be available to start your internship and your preferred duration.
  
You will be working within the energy team both on the modelling capability and on policy and regulation issues. As such, your daily work will be to support the team in developing/improving models, and in analysing the impacts of energy/environment regulation in a variety of European countries.
 
You will be based in either Berlin, Brussels, Dusseldorf, London, Madrid, Milan or Paris and work closely with other consultants and experts located across our European offices. 
  • Currently undertaking final year of Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Economics, Physics, Math or Engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Fluency in English and German is required, other languages are a plus 
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Previous internship experience in the energy sector is desirable.
