As a Line Technician A (or Apprentice), you'll join a safety-focused team responsible for all phases of electric line construction, operation, maintenance, and service work. A current Line Technician A is preferred; however, candidates may be hired as a Ground Technician with the opportunity - and expectation - to complete the Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives Ohio Line Worker Training (COLT) program.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyman Line Technician program completion or willingness to complete required training through COLT.
Technical & Safety Skills:
- Good working knowledge of electricity fundamentals, circuit connections, line voltages, phasing and transformer connections, switching devices, transmission and distribution standards, and electrical safety (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to interpret field prints and switching diagrams.
- Ability to work aloft on poles, towers, and structures while climbing or working from bucket truck.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Valid Class A CDL and Medical Examiner’s Certificate (or ability to obtain).

- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving and service mindset.

This position is based in Delaware, OH and requires on-call availability with residency within 30 minutes of the reporting station under normal conditions within 90 days of hire, unless otherwise approved.
