Freelance Consultant – Operational Excellence (Oil & Gas)

This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-impact operational excellence improvements within the Oil & Gas sector.
As a freelance consultant, you will work directly within client operations in Indonesia, supporting performance improvement on rigs and helping embed sustainable operational practices in complex, safety-critical environments.

• Support the delivery of operational excellence programmes across Oil & Gas operations

• Work on-site on rigs and operational facilities to identify performance improvement opportunities

• Analyse operational processes, performance metrics, and efficiency gaps

• Facilitate workshops, observations, and engagement with frontline teams and leadership

• Support implementation of practical solutions to improve productivity, reliability, and safety

• Work closely with client stakeholders to embed sustainable operational practices

• Contribute to measurable improvements in operational performance and efficiency

• Experience within a consulting environment delivering operational excellence or performance improvement projects

• Proven experience working within the Oil & Gas industry, ideally in field-based or rig environments

• Experience supporting operational performance, productivity, or efficiency improvement initiatives

• Experience engaging with both frontline teams and leadership stakeholders

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work effectively in complex, safety-critical operational environments

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability

• Ability to translate analysis into practical, implementable improvements

• Willingness to work on-site on rigs and operational facilities in Indonesia

• Availability to start immediately or by mid-July

• Flexibility to work on a freelance / contract basis
