Summary: The Compounder will be responsible for accurately measuring, mixing, and processing raw materials to produce chemical compounds according to specified formulas and procedures. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and consistency of our chemical products for various clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Weigh and measure raw materials precisely according to formulation sheets.
• Operate mixing and blending equipment to combine ingredients as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct quality checks and inspections throughout the compounding process.
• Document and report any deviations or anomalies in the production process.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Set up, operate, and clean compounding equipment and machinery.
• Capture, record, and dispose of waste from finished products.
• Assemble clean transfer containers for new bulk product.
• Transfer finished bulk material from mixing vessels into clean transfer containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of all batch production processes, including ingredient usage, batch numbers, and production times.
• Complete required paperwork and data entry for inventory and quality control.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Follow environmental and regulatory guidelines for chemical handling and disposal.
• Work closely with the quality control, production, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient workflow and product quality.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status and issues.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence within the organization.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience
• Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and ISO standards.
• Forklift operation certification, or capacity to qualify within the first 30 days of employment.
Additional Skills
• Communication skills to work with various individuals inside and outside the organization.
• Strong team player.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals and industrial machinery.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
• Excellent time management skills including multi-tasking and prioritizing work.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness on a consistent basis.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed, and the ability to travel between CMC facilities in Huxley and Madrid.
