Cooperative Energy is looking for an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician III that provides support in the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and instrumentation control systems at the plant. Assists with maintaining and troubleshooting control systems, including DCS and PLC-based equipment, as well as instrumentation, alarms, measurement devices, drives, actuators, and environmental monitoring equipment. Reads and interprets electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals; uses computerized maintenance systems to document work; and follows all applicable safety, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, and plant procedures. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who are developing their skills and knowledge in instrumentation and electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • →Assist with installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and instrumentation equipment.
  • →Support maintenance and troubleshooting of DCS, PLC, and other computer-based control systems.
  • →Assist with repairs and maintenance of drives, positioners, actuators, alarms, measurement devices, and environmental monitoring equipment.
  • →Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • →Use computerized systems to document maintenance activities, work orders, inventory, and repairs.
  • →Follow plant safety procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out requirements.
  • →Identify safety hazards and support safe work practices.
  • →Respond to emergency call-outs and work overtime or weekends as required.

Qualifications:

Education Requirements

  • →High School Diploma/GED or
  • →Associate's degree in the Instrumentation and Electrical Field of Study

Experience Requirements

  • →4 years Industrial Electrical Experience plus High School Diploma/GED or
  • →None required plus Associate's Degree

Certifications/ Licensures

  • →Successfully pass a security sensitive background screening - Required
  • →Valid Driver's License - Required
  • →Successfully qualified on entry level technician exam- Required
  • →Journey Level Electrician- City/State Approved Certification- Preferred
