Join Copeland Oaks as a Full Time Accounting Manager and immerse yourself in a vibrant community dedicated to exceptional senior care. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role will report to the CFO and is responsible for managing the general ledger, supervising accounting staff and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Copeland Oaks is a non-profit senior community for adults 55 and older in every stage of living – all in one beautiful village-like setting. Located in Sebring in northeast Ohio at the crossroads of Mahoning, Columbiana and Stark counties. It’s an ideal blend of serene country living with the conveniences of nearby city life. We offer complete independent living, catered living, assisted living, memory care units and skilled nursing.

As the Full Time Accounting Manager at Copeland Oaks, your day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger; preparing monthly financial statements; managing month-end and year-end closing processes; maintaining compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements; assisting with budgeting, financial analysis, and forecasting; support annual audits and required financial reporting; developing and maintaining internal accounting controls and procedures.; supervise and support accounting staff.

To excel as the Accounting Manager at Copeland Oaks, a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices is essential. Candidates should possess excellent analytical skills to interpret financial data. Effective communication skills are crucial.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience required
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
