Copeland Oaks is a non-profit senior care retirement community for adults 55 and older in every stage of living – all in one beautiful village-like setting. Located in Sebring in northeast Ohio at the crossroads of Mahoning, Columbiana and Stark counties. It’s an ideal blend of serene country living with the conveniences of nearby city life. We offer complete independent living, catered living, assisted living and skilled nursing all on our 250 acre campus of Copeland Oaks. 

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Copeland Oaks, your daily responsibilities will involve providing compassionate and attentive care to residents. You will assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal service/preparation, ensuring each resident's dignity is upheld. Monitoring and documenting vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff, and maintaining a clean and safe environment will also be part of your routine.

Engaging in social interactions and activities to promote emotional well-being will be essential. Additionally, you will be expected to adhere to all safety and infection control protocols while following the facility’s policies.

Your proactive approach will contribute significantly to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

To excel as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Copeland Oaks, several key skills are essential. Strong communication skills are vital, as you will interact daily with residents, families, healthcare professionals and fellow employees. Empathy and compassion are critical to connecting with residents and understanding their unique needs and concerns. Additionally, effective time management and organizational skills will help you prioritize tasks and ensure quality care is delivered efficiently.

Flexibility and adaptability will also be important, as you may encounter unexpected challenges throughout your day. Finally, a strong commitment to teamwork will enhance collaboration with your colleagues, fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff.

As part of the pre-employment process, Copeland Oaks conducts Criminal Background checks through the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation (BCI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Crandall Medical Center also conducts pre-employment Drug Testing.
