The Credit Specialist will be responsible for managing credit risk, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders within Corteva Agriscience Services India Pvt. Ltd. This role plays a crucial part in optimizing working capital and supporting the company's financial health.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Conduct thorough credit evaluations of new and existing customers, analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and industry trends to assess creditworthiness.
* Establish and monitor credit limits for customers, ensuring alignment with company policies and risk appetite.
* Manage the collections process for outstanding invoices, including proactive communication with customers, negotiation of payment plans, and escalation of overdue accounts.
* Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies related to payments, invoices, and credit memos.
* Prepare and analyze credit risk reports, highlighting potential areas of concern and recommending corrective actions.
* Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve credit-related issues and optimize customer experience.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance credit and collections efficiency.
* Provide support for internal and external audits related to credit and collections.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 2-4 years of experience in credit management, collections, or accounts receivable, preferably within an agricultural or manufacturing industry.
* Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment principles.
* Proficiency in SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
