Remote Lien Negotiator About Us We partner with U.S.-based law firms to connect them with skilled international professionals for long-term, remote opportunities. One of our client firms is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lien Negotiator to join their team remotely. The ideal candidate will have experience working with medical providers, insurance companies, and lien holders to negotiate reductions and resolve outstanding balances related to personal injury cases. This role is critical to maximizing case settlements while ensuring timely resolution of liens. Position Overview The Lien Negotiator will be responsible for managing and negotiating medical liens, health insurance liens, and other case-related balances on behalf of clients and attorneys. The successful candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of the personal injury process. Responsibilities • Review case files to identify outstanding medical liens, balances, and subrogation interests • Communicate with medical providers, health insurance companies, government agencies, and lien holders to verify balances and obtain lien information • Negotiate reductions on medical bills, liens, and related expenses to maximize client recovery • Request, review, and analyze lien statements, itemized bills, and supporting documentation • Track and monitor lien statuses to ensure timely resolution • Maintain accurate records of negotiations, balances, and settlements within the firm's case management system • Coordinate with attorneys, case managers, and settlement teams regarding lien resolution strategies • Prepare settlement disbursement information related to negotiated liens • Follow up consistently with providers, carriers, and lien holders to ensure timely responses • Ensure all lien-related documentation is properly organized and maintained • Provide updates to attorneys and staff regarding outstanding negotiations and lien statuses Requirements • Must be located outside of the United States (international candidates only) • Previous experience as a Lien Negotiator is strongly preferred • Experience working in a personal injury law firm required • Strong understanding of medical liens, subrogation claims, and settlement processes • Experience negotiating with medical providers, insurance carriers, and lien holders • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously • Experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment • Reliable internet connection and dedicated remote workspace Preferred Qualifications • Experience negotiating Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, and health insurance liens • Familiarity with personal injury settlement disbursement processes • Experience using personal injury case management software such as Filevine, Litify, SmartAdvocate, Clio, or similar platforms • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus Work Schedule • Full-time position • Must be available to work U.S. business hours (Mountain Time) What We Offer • Fully remote opportunity • Long-term placement with a U.S.-based law firm • Competitive compensation based on experience • Supportive and collaborative team environment • Professional growth and advancement opportunities • Opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing legal team
