Job Specification: Associate for Corporate and Project Finance Consulting and Advisory Services Location: Johannesburg, Republic of South Africa Role Overview We are seeking a motivated Associate to join our team in Johannesburg. This role involves working in corporate and project finance consulting and advisory services, focusing on delivering high-quality financial and transactional solutions to clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in transaction delivery, client interaction, business development, and project management. Key Responsibilities Transaction Delivery and Project Management: Develop and analyse high-end, complex financial models. Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis. Ensure compliance with project documents and applicable accounting & taxation principles. Design and develop optimal solutions for clients. Prepare comprehensive reports, information memoranda, summaries, and presentations. Understand the commercial and contractual implications of various contracts, specifically for Project Financing. Coordinate with transaction teams and interact with clients and stakeholders to support project development. Client Interaction: Engage with client teams to understand their requirements. Adapt to clients’ changing needs and priorities under team lead guidance. Support the team in designing and developing client-focused solutions. Business Development: Conduct research and analysis of sectors, geographies, clients, and competitors. Write reports to generate business development opportunities. Assist in preparing proposals for potential clients. Qualifications and Skills Master's in Finance or Chartered Accountant (CA). CFA Level 3 preferred. Fresh post-graduate or 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. Experience with international banks, developers, investors, funds, or similar financial and corporate advisory institutions is preferred. Experience in infrastructure/project finance is an advantage. Strong analytical and communication skills. Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and Excel. Basic understanding of finance and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). Ability to build strong client relationships. Capacity to work in multicultural environments and multidisciplinary teams.
