Role Overview: Our client, a leading multinational operating across the energy sectors, seeks a seasoned Executive General Manager to lead their Mozambican operations. This high-impact role requires a dynamic strategist with proven turnaround expertise, cross-sector exposure, and a deep understanding of the Mozambican business and regulatory landscape. The role drives regional growth, operational efficiency, and new business development while acting as the face of the company in-country. Core Responsibilities: Drive business growth, turnaround strategy Align local operations with global strategic objectives Lead annual budget planning, performance tracking, and risk mitigation initiatives. Oversee commercial activities, maximizing existing assets—especially within the storage and energy segments. Represent the company to government bodies, legal entities, industry associations, and strategic partners. Ensure full legal, regulatory, and policy compliance across the region. Inspire and lead a high-performing local leadership team with a focus on results, ethics, and talent development. Requirements Ideal Profile: Experience & Education: 10–15 years’ leadership experience Track record in business transformation, commercial leadership, and strategic execution. Exposure to multiple sectors and operating environments. Strong understanding of Mozambique’s legal, regulatory, and commercial context. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Commerce, or a related field. Leadership & Skills: Exceptional strategic thinker Fluent in English and at least one local language. Proficient in MS Office Suite High emotional intelligence, ethical leadership, and a passion for developing high-performing teams.
