Planning & Cost Control Engineer

Planning and Cost Control Engineer : Mali Developing project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure projects stay on time and within financial limits. Monitor project expenses, forecast costs, analyze variances, report on financial health, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks and optimize resource allocation. Role is crucial for project profitability and success by implementing cost-saving measures and maintaining alignment with strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities Project Planning: Create detailed project plans, define objectives, and establish schedules outlining activities, timelines, and milestones. Budgeting: Develop and track detailed project budgets, and manage project expenses, ensuring they remain within approved limits. Cost Control: Monitor costs, verify invoices, analyze cost variances between planned and actual figures, and identify deviations from the budget. Forecasting: Conduct cost forecasts, predict cost at completion, and assess financial risks. Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on project performance, financial health, progress, and budget status to management and stakeholders. Corrective Actions: Recommend and implement cost-saving measures and corrective actions to resolve financial discrepancies and keep projects on track. Contracts & Procurement: Manage contracts, follow up on procurement activities, and handle contractual changes, preparing cost and time impact analyses for variation orders. Liaison: Work closely with project managers, finance departments, and other engineering teams to ensure effective cost accounting and decision-making.
