DIS-TRAN Steel is looking for a Production Manager to join the FABteam. The Production Manager for DIS-TRAN Steel organizes and controls production in the organization to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the DIS-TRAN standard in a safe environment. This position will directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, ensuring all the processes and procedures are followed.

Ensures that production staff is following the general company polices of Crest Industries, LLC.

Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.

Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

Works with the Product Family Manager to determine specific needs for overtime.

Sets limits and manages overtime hours of all production employees and staff.

Plans a production schedule for all projects.

Determines the material resources required.

Manages the employment and material resources to meet production goals.

Sets quality product standards.

Establishes a routine program for consumable replacements.

Makes recommendations for salary budgets to Product Family Manager based on staff suggestions and known guidelines established by management.

Estimates production costs.

Implements cost control programs.

Analyzes production and quality control to detect and correct issues.

Determines staffing needs based on planned tasks and gains approval for this staff from management.
