Senior Business Performance Analyst
Collision Auto Parts is seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and results-driven Senior Business Performance Analyst to identify opportunities that drive revenue growth, improve profitability, and support executive decision-making across the organization.
The primary purpose of this role is to use data to improve business performance. This includes identifying revenue opportunities, improving gross margin, optimizing pricing and inventory strategies, reducing operational inefficiencies, and providing recommendations that support executive decision-making.
The Senior Business Performance Analyst will partner with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Finance, and Executive Leadership to uncover trends, solve complex business problems, and implement data-driven solutions that generate measurable business value. Success in this role will be measured by the impact of recommendations on revenue, profitability, operational efficiency, and EBITDA—not simply by the reports or dashboards produced.
This role embodies several of Collision Auto Parts' Leadership Principles. You will Own the Outcome by taking accountability for measurable business results, Solve Problems, Don't Study Them by turning insights into action, and lead with Facts Over Feelings by using objective data to guide recommendations and business decisions.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving business problems, challenging assumptions, and influencing strategic decisions through analytics.
Base Salary: $110,000 – $120,000
Annual Performance Bonus: Up to 10%
Location: Preferred in Hayward, Los Angeles, or San Diego, California; remote applicants within the United States will also be considered.
Travel: Up to 15% travel to company locations and leadership meetings, as needed.

Business Performance & Revenue Optimization
- Analyze sales, customer, pricing, inventory, and operational data to identify opportunities that improve financial performance.
- Develop data-driven recommendations that increase revenue, improve gross margin, and enhance overall profitability.
- Identify trends affecting business performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Evaluate customer profitability and recommend pricing, product, or service strategies.
- Analyze sales performance by branch, territory, customer, product category, and salesperson.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer retention, average order value, and market penetration.
- Present recommendations directly to executive leadership and business leaders.
- Analyze pricing effectiveness across product lines, customer segments, and geographic markets.
- Develop pricing models that balance competitiveness with profitability.
- Monitor margin trends and identify opportunities to reduce margin leakage.
- Support annual pricing strategies and promotional initiatives.
- Design and maintain executive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and operational reporting.
- Develop automated reporting solutions using SQL, Python, Power BI, Excel, or similar tools.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends and actionable business insights.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of business data.
Analyze and provide recommendations related to:
- Revenue and sales performance
- Gross margin and EBITDA
- Branch profitability
- Customer profitability
- Product profitability
- Vendor performance
- Freight and logistics costs
- Labor productivity
- Warehouse efficiency
- Delivery performance
Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic decision-making.
Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization
- Analyze inventory turns, fill rates, excess inventory, and stockouts.
- Develop forecasting models that improve purchasing decisions.
- Recommend inventory optimization strategies that improve customer service while reducing carrying costs.
- Evaluate vendor performance and purchasing trends.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and business processes.
- Improve reporting efficiency and data quality.
- Develop tools and processes that support continuous operational improvement.
- Reduce manual effort through automation and process redesign.
- Partner with Executive Leadership to evaluate strategic initiatives.
- Build financial models, ROI analyses, forecasting models, and business cases.
- Present complex findings in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
- Collaborate across Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Finance, and HR to ensure data drives enterprise-wide decisions, recognizing that departments don't win—companies win.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in business analytics, business intelligence, financial analysis, strategy, or a related analytical role.
- Advanced proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, data modeling, complex formulas, and data visualization.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
- Experience using Python, R, or other analytical programming languages.
- Demonstrated experience building executive dashboards and KPI reporting.
- Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to translate analytics into business recommendations.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence decision-making through data analysis.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Master's degree (MBA, MS Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, or related discipline).
- Experience within wholesale distribution, automotive, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Pricing optimization experience.
- Inventory optimization and demand forecasting experience.
- Financial modeling and budgeting experience.
- Experience supporting executive leadership teams.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data to financial performance.
- Ability to identify trends, opportunities, and business risks.
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining a strategic perspective.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization.

This position is expected to generate measurable business value through data-driven analysis and strategic recommendations.
