Ph.D. in public administration, public policy, political science or closely related field. Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2027
Demonstrated potential for effectiveness teaching graduate-level public administration courses.
Demonstrated potential for excellence in research, scholarly, and creative activities.
Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population, including low socioeconomic and first-generation students.

Ability to teach public budgeting and finance courses.
Evidence of research agenda in public administration and scholarly achievements (e.g., conference presentations, publications, grant activity, etc.)
Ability to teach a variety of core and elective MPA courses in a variety of modalities.
Experience successfully working with populations demographically and/or socioeconomically similar to the CSULB student body.
Experience mentoring or supporting students using inclusive and culturally relevant teaching strategies in a diverse classroom.
