Coaching Assistant -12 Month
(Temporary through June 30, 2027 with the possibility of reappointment)
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Under direction, performs a variety of coaching functions related to one or more sports in the Intercollegiate Athletic program.
- →A Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or related field is the minimum requirement for appointment at this level.
- →Within five years from the date of hire, the individual must obtain a Master's degree in Kinesiology or related field to be considered for re-appointment at any level.
- →Current First Aid, CPR and AED training.
- →Competitive coaching background.
- →Must have a strong commitment to safety and welfare of student-athletes.
- →Ability to work on weekends, evenings, and odd hours.
- →Must hold a valid Driver's License.
- →Must be able to pass the NCAA recruiting test and have an understanding of NCAA rules.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Master's degree with an academic background in kinesiology/physical education, sports management or a related field.
- Five or more years of successful collegiate coaching experience.
- Collegiate recruiting experience in California.
- Knowledge of Division II NCAA rules and regulations.

All background checks are conducted through the university's third party vendor, Accurate.
Education Code 89521 Requirements: Applicants will be required to disclose whether they have received a final administrative decision or final judicial decision determining that they have committed sexual harassment within the last 7 years only after a determination is made that they meet the minimum qualifications for the position, and before an offer of employment is extended.
