Under the general supervisor of the Director, Career Development Center, and lead by the Assistant Director, WAIV Program, the incumbent follows established procedures and processes to assist the WAIV Program with program data management and documentation for students in the program. The incumbent will use existing procedures and resources to document student contacts and program activities. The incumbent will also produce reports and perform online research related to program production.  


Responsibilities

  • Contract Support Services - Meets with Program Coordinator and Department of Rehabilitation for ongoing training and supervision. Assists Coordinator with planning WorkAbility Program meetings, workshops, and events, creating presentation templates, materials and resources as needed.
  • Admin Support for Employment/Internship Services - Collaborates with Bob Murphy Access Center (BMAC) staff regularly regarding administrative paperwork and completion of supporting documentation ensuring timely reporting of program requirements. Documents student contacts and outcomes in the program database including using established systems, procedures, and resources for simple analysis of program production and reporting. Provide procedural training and reference materials to student assistants regarding documentation standards and contract compliance requirements
  • Replies to general program inquiries from students, community and campus. Conduct WAIV Program outreach activities to promote awareness of program services and participation requirements.

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $2,183.50 (Step 1) - $2,464 (Step 7) per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
CSU Classification Salary Range (Part-Time, 0.50 FTE): The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $2,183.50 (Step 1) - $3,181 (Step 20) per month.·
Paid Time Off: Up to 24 vacation days per year (based on employee group and/or length of service), 14 paid holidays, and 12 sick days annually with unlimited accrual.

They possess a proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while exercising strong counseling and mediation skills. This individual is adept at problem-solving across university departments and with external governing bodies, communicating diplomatically and effectively with diverse stakeholders. They excel in both independent and collaborative settings, consistently fostering positive, respectful, and cooperative working relationships. With outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, they are able to clearly convey policies, procedures, and complex information to audiences from varied cultural, socioeconomic, and professional backgrounds. The candidate demonstrates strong analytical abilities to assess situations, define problems, and develop effective solutions, alongside the capacity to organize and manage continuously evolving information with precision and efficiency. They are skilled in report writing and synthesizing large volumes of information, maintain a solid understanding of compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and laws, and are proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Additionally, they are dependable and flexible, able to meet physical requirements such as lifting materials, consistently report to work prepared, and accommodate occasional evenings, weekends, or extended hours as needed.

• Equivalent to five years of administrative support experience required.

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job related field and one year of directly related experience preferred.
