We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain & International Procurement Specialist to oversee sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations.
Position Summary:
The Supply Chain & International Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, managing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate inventory levels. This role ensures the company has the right materials, in the right quantity, at the right time, while minimizing costs and avoiding stock shortages or excess.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiation.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor/supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production schedules without overstocking.
- Conduct regular inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies, and implement effective inventory control measures.
- Coordinate with production, operations, and other departments to forecast material requirements.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, invoices, and procurement documentation.
- Track and analyze inventory KPIs (turnover, shrinkage, lead times) and provide regular reports to management.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve procurement and inventory processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in procurement and inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, procurement processes, and vendor relations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/inventory management software.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic purchasing decisions.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
System Requirements:
- Computer Processor: Minimum 5th generation Intel i5 processor or equivalent
- Computer Memory/RAM: Minimum 4.00 GB
- Computer Operating System: Windows 10 or Mac OSX - No Linux, Unix, or any operating system other than what is required.
- Internet Speed: Running on a 5.0 MBPS plan or higher (Both primary and backup) - If your backup connection cannot serve as your primary connection, that does not qualify as a backup connection
- REQUIRED Headset: Noise-cancelling headset connected via USB port
- REQUIRED WebCam: At least 3 megapixels capable of 720p recording
