The Conservation Programs Heritage & Regulation Division is establishing a talent pool for Administration Support Officers to support future workforce needs. Successful applicants may be considered for a variety of ongoing, temporary or casual roles as they become available, providing essential administrative support to teams delivering conservation planning, biodiversity offsetting and environmental regulation outcomes.
Administration Support Officers provide a broad range of administrative, financial and coordination services to support the efficient day‑to‑day operations of the Division. Depending on the role, you may be involved in supporting office operations, managing records and correspondence, coordinating meetings, assisting with financial and human resource processes, and responding to internal and external enquiries. You will work as part of a collaborative team, supporting staff across a range of programs and contributing to the smooth delivery of conservation and environmental initiatives.
You are an organised and reliable administration professional with experience supporting teams in a structured office environment. You have strong attention to detail and are confident using computer‑based systems and records management tools to manage information accurately and in line with policies and procedures. Your understanding of financial and human resource processes enables you to provide effective administrative support and contribute to efficient business operations.
You work well both independently and as part of a team and take a customer‑focused approach to your work. With good communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, you remain adaptable and professional in a busy environment. You are proactive, dependable and committed to supporting positive workplace culture and quality service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in office administration.
- Experience in the use of computer-based systems and records management system.
- Knowledge of financial and human resource management procedures, policies and practices.
