About the Role
~2 min readOur Office of the Deputy Secretary, Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability is currently seeking to appoint a highly motivated Executive Administration Officer to provide high-quality executive, business, financial, governance and event support. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with senior leaders to deliver strategic and operational priorities, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, maintain action registers, and monitor key deliverables. You will also manage financial administration, including purchase orders, invoice processing, expenditure tracking and budget reporting, while supporting governance activities and staff events.
The Office of the Deputy Secretary is within the Strategic Coordination Unit. As a service‑focused team we learn, deliver and grow together, valuing the culture of our team and the people we work with.

- Proven experience providing executive, business or administrative support in a complex environment.
- Strong organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience in financial administration, expenditure monitoring and record management.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, events and engagement activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder engagement and minute-taking.
- High attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and business systems, such as Asana.
- Commitment to contributing to a collaborative, service-focused team culture that supports learning, delivery and growth.
- Ability to deliver high-quality administrative and operational outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
