  • Salary relative to experience, ranges from $149,739 to $173,174 plus super

If you’re an agile operator with exceptional interpersonal finesse, this is your moment. We’re searching for a dynamic Executive Officer who thrives in fast‑moving environments, builds strong relationships with ease, and brings clarity to complex, high‑stakes work.

 

In this pivotal role, you’ll lead a small, high‑performing team and act as the strategic engine behind the Deputy Secretary, Crown Lands and Public Spaces, and the Director, Office of the Deputy Secretary. Your influence will be felt across the organisation as you steer communications, shape strategic advice, and keep critical initiatives moving.

 

Responsibilities

  • High‑level communications — Prepare, manage and refine briefings, submissions, reports, presentations and correspondence that are accurate, timely and strategically sharp.
  • Stakeholder coordination — Serve as the trusted point of contact for the Deputy Secretary and Director, ensuring seamless communication, proactive engagement and on‑time responses.
  • Strategic and operational planning — Implement, monitor and report on plans that drive organisational performance and inform decision‑making at the highest level.
  • Research & strategic advice — Deliver insights and analysis on complex policy, planning and operational matters to support informed, future‑focused decisions.
  • Issues management — Identify emerging issues early, manage risks and support effective resolution to protect organisational integrity.
  • Project leadership — Lead or contribute to projects that advance organisation‑wide strategic and operational objectives.
  • Administrative excellence — Develop and refine systems, processes and practices that enhance efficiency and deliver quality outcomes.
