• Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $157,257 to $172,589 + super

The Grants Branch is currently seeking to appoint a Manager Conservation, Waste & Heritage Grants to lead the delivery, governance and continuous improvement of grant programs that support environmental, waste and heritage outcomes across NSW.

As the Manager Conservation, Waste & Heritage Grants, you will lead the delivery of complex grant programs and ad-hoc grants that support environmental, waste and heritage outcomes across NSW. You will oversee governance, financial management, program performance and reporting, while working with government, industry, community and sector stakeholders to ensure funding delivers meaningful and measurable results.

About You
You are an experienced leader with a background in managing complex grant programs. You have strong skills in governance, probity, financial and performance management, strategic planning and risk management, with a demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes in a highly accountable environment.

You build productive relationships with diverse stakeholders to deliver desired outcomes and can confidently communicate complex information to a range of audiences. With strong leadership, problem-solving, negotiation and organisational skills, you are able to balance competing priorities, support high-performing teams and drive continuous improvement in grant program delivery and customer experience.

Key knowledge and experience 

• Sound experience in leading a team in the administration and management of complex and significant grant schemes or related programs including establishing governance systems, budget and performance management.
• Experience in issues management and strategic planning including a demonstrated track record of delivering outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and monitoring operational plans with a demonstrated track record in providing direction and gaining cooperation of a multidisciplinary geographically dispersed group of staff in a service environment.
