• Parramatta location - regional location encouraged/Hybrid working supported  
• Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $116,981 $129,492 + employer's contribution to superannuation and 17% loading for working weekends and public holidays 

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Project Officer Threatened Species to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.

As Project Officer you will manage, coordinate, implement and evaluate diverse and complex biodiversity and threatened species projects, ensuring completion within required deadlines and achieve quality standards. You will be required to consult with stakeholders and apply their input into complex projects.

 We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Project Officer with excellent project management, data management, and biodiversity and threatened species management experience and spatial data skills. As Project Officer, Threatened Species you will undertake a range of threatened species projects including conservation translocations, habitat restoration, monitoring and reporting and data management and analysis, and community and Aboriginal engagement.

• Previous experience developing and implementing a multi-stakeholder threatened species management project or program.
• Demonstrated competency in data analysis and use of information systems including working knowledge of GIS, databases and statistical applications.
• Demonstrated experience in operational works relevant to the role, and ability to supervise and carry out all duties safely in accordance with WHS requirements.
• Current Australian Class C Driver’s licence or equivalent and willingness to obtain a 4WD operation certificate.
