Senior Advisor Water Assets and Infrastructure

In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping sustainable development outcomes across NSW by providing expert water assets and infrastructure advice on major development applications, State Significant Development projects and rezoning proposals. Working within a collaborative and high-performing team, you'll undertake complex technical assessments, engage with key stakeholders and influence planning decisions that support growing communities. • Has experience in water assets and infrastructure, including water, wastewater and/or stormwater planning, assessment or advisory services.
• Can undertake complex technical assessments and translate technical information into clear, practical recommendations for a range of stakeholders.
• Brings strong knowledge of the NSW planning and development assessment environment, including relevant legislation, policies and standards.
• Has experience reviewing infrastructure strategies, technical reports, modelling outputs and risk assessments to support informed decision-making.
• Is a confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement and technical writing skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities while maintaining quality outcomes and attention to detail.
• Enjoys working collaboratively and building productive relationships with government agencies, industry partners and internal stakeholders.

The Development Coordination Authority (DCA) plays a critical role in supporting sustainable growth across NSW by providing specialist advice that helps shape complex development and infrastructure outcomes. As a Senior Advisor, Water Assets and Infrastructure, you'll be at the forefront of this work, providing expert technical advice on major development applications, State Significant Development (SSD) and State Significant Infrastructure (SSI) projects, as well as State-led rezoning proposals.

You'll collaborate with planners, engineers, government agencies and industry stakeholders to influence key decisions on water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure, ensuring development outcomes are practical, sustainable and fit for the future.

• Degree qualification in a related relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience e.g., Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Water) or Urban Planning.
