- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $134,421 to $148,239 + super

About the Role
~1 min readAs a Senior Assessments Officer, you will provide expert heritage advice on approval pathways and the effective management and conservation of Aboriginal cultural heritage, environmental heritage and heritage objects, places, items, relics and values. You will prepare accurate and timely reports, submissions, briefing notes and correspondence on a range of assessment and approval matters, assess development applications for projects across NSW, and provide expert advice on complex conservation documents to support best-practice heritage conservation.
The successful applicant must exhibit strong communication skills and be confident liaising with diverse stakeholder groups at all levels. You will be committed to delivering results, quality outcomes and excellent customer service. You will be required to build strong relationships across government agencies and other key stakeholders and bring a collaborative approach to information sharing, proactive planning, and effective development of key projects, as well as range of approval processes. The ability to manage multiple competing priorities whilst delivering within statutory timeframes and a willingness to undertake site visits within NSW is essential, while knowledge of or management experience of linear heritage projects is desirable.
- Experience in delivering cultural and heritage outcomes with knowledge of associated processes and legislation.
Requirements
~1 min read- Tertiary qualifications in heritage management/conservation, Aboriginal heritage, architecture, archaeology, planning or relevant heritage discipline or demonstrated extensive experience in a relevant heritage field.
