At DCCEEW, we protect and enhance the environment, support communities, and work towards a sustainable future for NSW. To deliver on this mission, we are committed to building a workforce that reflects our community and embraces diversity in all its forms.

As a Senior Partner Diversity and Inclusion, you will play a pivotal role in delivering Workforce DEI priorities across DCCEEW. You will translate the department’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Action Plan into practical, measurable workforce initiatives, partnering with leaders, HR specialists, employee networks and external partners to strengthen culture, accessibility, representation and inclusion across the department.

• Lead the delivery and embedding of Workforce DEI priorities, including action plan deliverables, governance, reporting and continuous improvement activities.
• Partner with HR colleagues, business groups, employee networks and Aboriginal Employee Experience colleagues to co-design initiatives grounded in lived experience, cultural safety and diverse perspectives.
• Support the implementation of key inclusion priorities, including disability inclusion, workplace adjustments, inclusive recruitment, accessibility, employee resource group governance and diversity representation.
• Use workforce data, employee listening insights, benchmarks and success measures to track progress, identify barriers and support evidence-informed decision-making.

You are a collaborative, values-driven DEI professional who combines strong subject matter expertise with practical delivery discipline. You are confident translating strategy into action, managing competing priorities, and using clear project planning, governance and reporting to deliver measurable outcomes.

You bring experience designing, coordinating or delivering diversity, equity and inclusion strategies, programs or action plans in a complex organisation. You are comfortable working across HR, organisational development, talent, capability, employee experience and business teams to build shared ownership of outcomes.

You use data, insights and lived experience to understand barriers, shape solutions and support better decision-making. You can work with cultural sensitivity and integrity across diverse stakeholder groups, including employee networks, leaders, external partners and communities.

You will bring strong communication, stakeholder engagement and judgement, along with the ability to influence without relying on authority. Experience in project management, workforce reporting, accessibility, inclusive recruitment, employee network governance or organisational culture change would be highly regarded.
