CuspAI is the frontier AI company on a mission to solve the breakthrough materials needed to power human progress. While nature took billions of years to perfect molecules, we are harnessing AI to unlock trillion-dollar materials breakthroughs in months, not millennia. Our founding team is the most cited in the world, comprised of world-class researchers in AI, chemistry and engineering.
We are working on some of the hardest and most important challenges including energy, clean water, the future of compute, and carbon capture, and this is just the start of what our 'search engine' for next-generation materials will unlock.
We invite you to be part of a diverse, innovative team at the intersection of AI and materials science, working to create impactful partnerships that drive innovation, scalability, and industry collaboration. This work matters. Your work matters.
We’re on the cusp of the on-demand materials era. Join us.
Due to rapid global growth we are seeking a Scientific Developer Relations Manager to provide deep, scientific-level expertise and technical guidance to our expanding ecosystem of partners.
In this role you will be building the technical enablement and scientific advisory framework that accelerates the adoption of our AI platform across enterprise and research partners, which is critical for delivering next-generation semiconductor and advanced materials to market.
Your main focus initially will be partnering closely with our Foundry Partnerships Manager to deeply engage our technology and industry partners, translating complex materials science requirements into actionable platform solutions.
Responsibilities
~1 min readAct as the primary technical and scientific point of contact for technical leaders, computational chemists, and materials scientists within our partner organizations.
Provide expert, scientific-level advice and recommendations on how to leverage CuspAI's platform to solve complex materials challenges (e.g. semiconductor performance, carbon capture efficiency, or energy storage).
Lead deep-dive technical workshops, code-alongs, and scientific demonstrations that showcase the platform's capabilities to expert external audiences.
Build scalable developer resources, including highly technical documentation, sample notebooks, APIs, and reference guides tailored to advanced materials science workflows.
Bridge the gap between high-level community events managed by the Partnerships team and the hands-on technical support required to make partner Discovery Sprints successful.
Collaborate closely with AI Research, Computational Chemistry, and Product teams to channel technical partner feedback directly into the development priorities of our agentic platform.
Partner with Marketing and PR functions to co-author deep-tech case studies, whitepapers, and technical blog posts highlighting novel materials breakthroughs achieved via the platform.
Requirements
~1 min readYou have a genuine, explicit interest in how frontier AI can revolutionize materials science and a passion for bringing sustainable, impactful technologies to humanity.
You possess a strong academic background or equivalent professional experience in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or Electrical Engineering, allowing you to converse fluently at a peer-level with world-class scientists.
You have hands-on experience with computational chemistry tools, molecular simulation software, or Python-based data science workflows (e.g. PyTorch, ASE, RDKit).
You have a proven track record in developer relations, technical partner engineering, or application science, ideally within a high-growth startup, deep-tech environment, or advanced materials company.
You are a confident, charismatic technical communicator who excels at translating abstract scientific concepts and complex AI platform workflows into clear, actionable advice for a technical audience.
Nice to Have
~1 min readExperience managing joint developer or research ecosystem programs alongside major hardware tech giants.
Direct professional background working within a semiconductor foundry, design firm, or electronics materials supplier.
Fluency in a second language relevant to our global hubs (e.g. Japanese, Korean, German).
Understanding of crystallography, materials properties, and advanced machine learning models for property prediction.
This role could be based in our Cambridge, London, Amsterdam or Berlin offices, with the expectation of being in the office three days per week. Additionally, there may be regular travel required to other locations for collaboration and project work.
