Job Summary: The University Club of St. Paul is seeking a dedicated and professional Banquet Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for exceptional customer service, a commitment to hospitality excellence, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced event setting. As a Banquet Server at the University Club of St. Paul, you will help ensure that every event is a memorable experience for our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up banquet and event spaces to meet event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, dinnerware, and decor.
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and courteous manner, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring all dietary restrictions and preferences are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized banquet area throughout events, promptly clearing dishes and refilling beverages as needed.
- Communicate with kitchen and event staff to ensure timely service and resolve any guest issues or requests.
- Break down and clean up banquet areas after events, resetting spaces as necessary for future use.
- Adhere to the University Club of St. Paul’s policies and procedures, including food handling and safety regulations.
- Assist with other event-related tasks as directed by event managers or supervisors, ensuring smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or banquet setting preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.
