Cylinder empowers individuals who often feel invisible, neglected, or stigmatized by providing access to a tech-enabled, human-led GI platform. We help members spend less time worrying about digestive symptoms—and more time living fully.
As a Registered Dietitian at Cylinder, you'll deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to members seeking relief from chronic digestive conditions. Through HIPAA-compliant phone and video sessions, you’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) using motivational interviewing, strengths-based care, and behavior change models to support member’s goals.
Most members you’ll work with face conditions such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, IBS, short bowel syndrome, diverticulitis, chronic constipation or diarrhea, gastroparesis, food allergies and intolerances, SIBO, and more.
The contract will last 16 weeks, starting in mid December. You can create a schedule that fits your lifestyle, including one evening shift until 8pm and some weekend availability. You can choose how many hours you would like to work (between 30-40 weekly).
What We Offer
~1 min readThis is an hourly, paid contract role. Dietitians are compensated for their scheduled working hours, regardless of visit length or no-shows. You’ll be paid for your time, including documentation and care-related work during scheduled hours.
Responsibilities

Deliver individualized MNT, including assessment, nutrition diagnosis, interventions, monitoring, and evaluation

Support members in managing comorbidities, dietary supplements, and probiotics
- →
Apply evidence-based strategies (e.g. FODMAP diet, elimination diets, mindful eating) to relieve symptoms and improve quality of life
- →
Use counseling skills (MI, TTM, strengths-based care) to help members move through the stages of change
- →
Guide members in building self-efficacy and advocacy, while providing education, SMART goal-setting, and accountability
- →
Document sessions in line with clinical guidelines and company standards
- →
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal, coordinated care

Practice in alignment with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations, following our Clinical Pathways and scope of practice, while collaborating with or referring to other disciplines as outlined in our escalation guidelines

Maintain strict confidentiality of members’ Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA and our confidentiality agreement
Are excited about using technology to transform digestive health care
Excel at building rapport and engaging members through clear, empathetic communication
Have experience integrating behavioral modification strategies into nutrition counseling
Requirements
