The District Attorney’s Office is seeking one full-time candidate to serve in the title of Constituent Relations Associate. The incumbent will work in close coordination with the Executive Office and with the Complaint Evaluation Specialist, and be responsible for handling and directing all incoming calls, managing the front desk, maintaining the reception area, greeting visitors, receiving and sorting daily mail and deliveries, handling the office-wide digital staff bulletins, and performing various administrative and clerical tasks. The work will involve considerable telephone and/or personal contact with attorneys, crime victims, and constituents. The incumbent is expected to exercise some independent judgment within well-established guidelines.
KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
A successful candidate will have a positive attitude, greet and welcome all visitors and callers in a professional and friendly manner, communicate with and explain the SCDA's policies and procedures to people from various backgrounds and groups, and resolve any issues in a courteous and timely manner.
Multilingual capabilities are preferred, but are not required.
SALARY/BENEFITS
$45,000-$55,000, depending on experience.
Full benefits package includes medical, dental and eyeglass coverage for you and your dependents. You will also receive paid vacation, sick, and personal leave, as well as paid holidays.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from a standard senior high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
Additional certification in Office Management or equivalent prior work experience as a receptionist, front office representative, or similar role is preferred but not required.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Employees at the time of appointment and during employment in this title, are required to possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State.
