The opportunity
dcbel is seeking a Electromechanical Assembler that will work from our Montréal office to carry out assembly operations of elements, parts, components of electromechanical assemblies using manual tools according to production requests. This role is a full-time temporary contract position with room for extension.
In this role, you will work directly with the team to carry out necessary production work that meets our specifications.
Main responsibilities
- Rework electrical components using various tools including wire stripper, crimping tools, heat guns, and soldering iron.
- Perform sheet metal work using tools including manual hole punch, drill, and hand rivet tool.
- Mechanically assemble electrical subassemblies using impact drivers, torque screwdrivers, and drills, while ensuring technical requirements are met.
- Execute electrical testing of electromechanical subassemblies while following proper test and safety procedures. Assess and log pass and failure of units and resolve causes of failure.
- Manage cables, including zip-tying and using heat guns to apply heat shrink.
- Document and log progress and results.
Key requirements
- Technical or college-level training in electronics, electromechanics or related is preferred
- 1 year of experience with manual tools, including crimping, drilling, impact drivers, wire stripping, riveting, torque screwdrivers, and heat guns
- Experience with manual electrical testing
- Knowledge of manual tools and understanding of assembly techniques
Bonus skills
- Bilingual English and French.
