Summary Statement
The seasonal position is responsible for the custodial cleaning of bathrooms, facilities and offices, along with the maintenance of grounds, facilities and equipment in the park.� Work is performed indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions. This position will operate light duty equipment such as trucks, tractors, mowers and other lawn equipment.\r\n
Essential Functions
Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all position in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class.� Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.\r\n\r\n Performs custodial services in restrooms, offices and other buildings.\r\n Performs grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, trail maintenance, landscape bed maintenance, trash removal, vegetation removal, leaf removal and snow/ice removal.\r\n Operation of landscaping equipment and use of hand and power tools.\r\n Set-up, monitoring and clean-up support for park programs and special events.\r\n Maintains good public relations with park visitors and staff.\r\n Provide excellent customer service and park information to visitors.\r\n Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.\r\n Maintain a positive attitude.\r\n Performs other related work as required.\r\n\r\n

Conditions of Hire

Sessions are held at designated locations in Kent or New Castle County.\r\n
