�\r\n\r\n�\r\nDOT – Motor Vehicles\r\nThe mission of the Division of Motor Vehicles is to provide excellence in transportation by providing courteous and efficient service to the public while protecting Delaware residents by establishing the validity of licensed drivers and ensuring safe and non-polluting vehicles are operated on Delaware roadways. Summary Statement
This incumbent will be expected to provide excellent customer service, respond to escalated inquiries, attend on and off-site events which may occur at night and on the weekends, assist with designing graphics for a variety of platforms, help manage and monitor the Division's social media channels, create and edit brochures and forms, and provide internal support for the Division. Experience in graphic design, photography, marketing, advertising, social media, customer service and writing for numerous situations is required.\r\n
Preferred Qualification
Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Six months experience in the use of Social Media as a public relations networking method (i.e. Facebook, Twitter).\r\n Six months experience using software for graphic design, video editing and web development.��\r\n\r\n\r\n

Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS for Public Information Officer \r\nApplicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: \r\n\r\n\r\n Six months experience in public relations or�media relations to establish and promote a positive image�and inform or influence specific audiences through the use of internal and external communications such as public forums, print or electronic media,�speech writing, writing/editing, marketing, advertising,�or special events. \r\n Six months experience�in gathering, organizing, formatting and translating or interpreting information into forms more easily understood by the media or public, and disseminating the information through the use of print, broadcast or electronic media. \r\n Six months experience�in public speaking which includes gathering, preparing and presenting information to the public or media groups. \r\n Knowledge of developing, planning and directing public events, campaigns, programs or services to meet community needs. \r\n\r\n
Conditions of Hire
