Payroll Services manages all functions and queries related to staff pay, benefits, and superannuation. The team ensures employees are paid accurately and on time, while supporting access to entitlements and retirement contributions.

The Adviser, Payroll Services is responsible for providing advice, support, guidance and administrative activities to ensure our payroll services are compliant, accurate and timely.

  • Provide information, advice and support to staff on a broad range of payroll university policies, procedures and requirements
  • Contribute to the implementation of strategies and programs to improve the payroll services experience and contribute to improved ways of working
  • Provide resolution to complex enquiries from staff such as payslips, tax, superannuation, leave entitlements and other related payroll matters
  • Coordinate and implement a range of administrative services to support the payroll services such as processing payments, adjustments, deductions & terminations
  • Implement and manage initiatives in relation to process improvement, data management and reporting
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Demonstrated experience in driving projects and initiatives that deliver measurable results
  • Customer services experience in a deadline driven environment
  • Knowledge of employment or payroll policies and procedures
  • Experience in operating in a high-pressure diverse environment, involving face to face, phone, and written issues.
  • Experience providing services and support in a large organisation.
