About the Role
~1 min readThe Coordinator, Content Marketing plays an important role in developing and delivering engaging, audience-focused content and communications across Deakin’s channels. Working across a diverse mix of projects, the role helps strengthen Deakin’s brand, connect with key audiences and support broader marketing priorities.
The role contributes to the ongoing evolution of Deakin’s Content Hub, supports the delivery of recruitment publications and contributes to communications planning and the development of campaign and advertising content. There is plenty of variety, with opportunities to take content from idea through to delivery and find creative ways to bring Deakin’s stories, expertise and experience to life.
Working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the University, the Coordinator uses strong content expertise, audience insight and sound judgment to turn complex information into clear, engaging and brand aligned communications.
We’re looking for a proactive, organised content professional who enjoys building strong relationships, leading projects and delivering great work in a dynamic environment.
- Lead and coordinate content projects from concept to delivery.
- Analyse content and performance data to provide insights to support decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement change across content and communications activities.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships delivering practical solutions that meet business needs.
- Support capability development through constructive feedback and knowledge sharing.
- Degree with substantial subsequent experience; and or extensive experience management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
- Experience coordinating, leading and delivering complex work.
- Knowledge of content marketing principles, editorial standards, and user-centred communication strategies, particularly in a higher education or alarge organisational context.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- A solid understanding of SEO and AEO, with experience supporting or delivering training for writers and contributors.
