Group Facilitator

• Based at our Melbourne, Burwood Campus + hybrid work arrangements
• Part-time 0.4FTE and fixed-term until June 2027
• Level A $83,268 - $111,939 + 17% Superannuation

The Facilitator will engage collaboratively to conduct high-quality research and creative activities, with mentorship from leaders within the research team.

The facilitator will play a key role in supporting the delivery and evaluation of a family-based clinical trial for children experiencing anxiety. The role focuses on facilitating engaging online group sessions for children and their parents/carers within the lifestyle therapy arm of a MRFF funded randomised controlled trial. This will include creating a positive and supportive participant experience that encourages engagement and retention, while delivering evidence-informed lifestyle approaches for mental health and maintaining adherence to study protocols and research governance requirements. The facilitator will also support participant recruitment and retention, collect high-quality research data, and contribute to trial implementation, fidelity and evaluation activities.

• Conduct high-quality research, scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs, with mentorship.
• Facilitate engaging online group lifestyle therapy programs for children and their parents/carers
• Collect, manage and report high-quality research data in accordance with study protocols, governance requirements and ethical standards.
• Engage collaboratively to participate in novel and high-quality research or creative activities.
• Support and may lead applications for funding for research and creative activities                                                                  

• PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience (for example, in an allied health discipline relevant to lifestyle intervention such as nutrition, exercise science, occupational therapy or physical education in primary school).
• Emerging research and scholarship through publications, and/or exhibitions as appropriate to the discipline.
• Ability to contribute to communities through research.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with children and their families in community, educational, or clinical settings.
• Current valid work rights for Australia.
