We are seeking an outstanding academic at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level to lead teaching teams within our new Masters of Physiotherapy program, with responsibility for enhancing student learning outcomes and professional engagement through the strategic planning, coordination, and quality assurance of clinical placements in physiotherapy.

The role encompasses the design and delivery of high-quality teaching, scholarship, and research activities, alongside active contribution to collaborative initiatives that advance disciplinary knowledge and practice. Experience in the sector and knowledge of the Physiotherapy Board of Australia are essential for success within this new discipline, with your expertise being instrumental in shaping the workforce of the future.

  • Lead the coordination and allocation of student physiotherapy clinical placements across healthcare providers within public, private or community sectors.
  • Ensure physiotherapy placements meet accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Provide academic support for students before, during, and after placement.
  • Lead unit teaching teams and work collaboratively with other unit teaching teams in the course to develop effective unit curricula and learning resources.
  • Develop effective assessment tasks and rubrics.
  • Lead and grow interdisciplinary research and industry partnerships that deliver breakthrough innovations and real-world impact.
  • Foster a culture of research excellence, innovation, and industry engagement, expanding collaboration and opportunities.
  • Recruit, supervise, and mentor HDR students and early career researchers to achieve high-quality outcomes and strong career pathways.

 

  • A doctoral qualification in Physiotherapy or relevant discipline.
  • Current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrate capacity to ensure compliance with professional physiotherapy accreditation standards.
  • Evidence in coordinating clinical placements and/or establishing placement host sites.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build good working relationships with industry stakeholders and partners.
  • Evidence of scholarly learning and teaching in undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs.
  • Evidence of research, research supervision, or scholarship in physiotherapy or discipline-related field.
