This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in connecting patients and families with innovative clinical research, helping to improve lives and contribute to the future of healthcare. As part of the emerging Deakin–Barwon Health Alliance, you will work collaboratively with clinicians, researchers and healthcare teams to expand access to clinical trials, strengthen research participation across local communities, and support the delivery of world-class research opportunities closer to home. This role offers the chance to contribute to a growing research ecosystem, drive meaningful community impact, and be at the forefront of healthcare innovation aimed at improving outcomes for children and families for years to come. Responsibilities

  • Help connect children and families with opportunities to participate in clinical research and trials.
  • Build relationships with clinicians, health services and research partners to support trial growth.
  • Contribute to the delivery of high-quality paediatric research with real-world impact.
  • Gain hands-on experience in clinical trials while developing your research leadership capability.
  • Play a key role in a growing Deakin–Barwon Health initiative expanding access to clinical research.
  • Medical qualifications and clinical experience, with a passion for paediatric research and a desire to grow as a clinical trial investigator.
  • Knowledge of clinical trial conduct, GCP, research governance and ethics, with a commitment to high-quality and participant-centred research.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage clinicians, researchers, health services and research networks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities; Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
