• Significant experience leading professional staff teams, ideally in student support, academic or similarly complex environments
• Confidence in having direct, respectful and timely performance conversations
• A track record of setting clear expectations and upholding cultural and behavioural standards
• Strong capability in navigating competing priorities, risk and stakeholder complexity
• Demonstrated experience in resource planning and allocation, balancing immediate operational needs with strategic objectives
• Sound judgement, resilience and the ability to re prioritise work as conditions shift
• The capacity to influence across functions and build collaborative, ethical partnerships

• Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
• Extensive experience and management expertise; or
• An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
• Experience in managing teams and resource allocation, particularly in student support or academic environments, with a focus on balancing operational and strategic needs during peak periods.
• Knowledge of resource management and/or student outcomes frameworks, and leading customer service practices.
