About the Role

Join Deakin’s Integration Development team within Infrastructure and Digital, responsible for building and supporting the integrations that connect enterprise applications, cloud platforms and digital services across the University. Reporting to the Group Manager, Integration Development, this is a hands-on senior technical role working closely with architects, analysts, delivery teams and business stakeholders.

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex MuleSoft integration solutions, from design and development through testing, deployment and support
  • Design secure, reliable and scalable APIs and integrations using contemporary integration patterns and technologies
  • Provide technical leadership through design and code reviews, technical guidance and collaboration with stakeholders across the University
  • Drive improvements in DevOps, automated testing, code quality, reuse and operational reliability
  • Postgraduate qualifications or extensive relevant experience and management expertise; or equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training
  • Significant experience designing, developing and supporting complex integration solutions in a large enterprise and cloud technology environment
  • Strong hands-on experience developing and supporting solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
  • Strong experience designing REST and SOAP APIs and integration solutions using appropriate patterns, including event-driven architectures and messaging
  • Strong experience across the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and with contemporary DevOps practices, including source control, continuous integration, automated testing and code-quality controls
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and stakeholder-engagement experience, including working with or guiding technical teams in an Agile delivery environment
