QA Lead (12-Month Contract)

A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced QA Lead to drive quality assurance practices across the product delivery lifecycle. This role requires a strong leader with extensive experience in test strategy, automation, API testing, performance testing, and Agile delivery environments. The successful candidate will ensure alignment between Business Analysis, Development, Quality Assurance, and Environment teams to optimise testing efficiencies and manage product risk and dependencies.

• →Lead the implementation of testing practices in line with agreed QA principles, standards, and governance.
• →Manage product risk and interdependencies throughout the product lifecycle.
• →Ensure effective collaboration between Business Analysis, Development, QA, and Environment teams.
• →Drive team effectiveness and promote healthy team dynamics.
• →Design, develop, and implement reusable automated test assets using established automation frameworks and tools.
• →Perform functional, API, and non-functional testing, including performance testing.
• →Ensure the overall quality, stability, and scalability of solutions and their architecture.
• →Promote continuous improvement and best practices across testing processes and standards.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in:
• Agile concepts and Agile software delivery
• Test automation standards and procedures
• Testing principles and processes
• Data Quality Assurance
• Object-Oriented concepts
• Data Science
• Strong experience leading QA teams within banking or financial services environments.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Front-End Automation
• API Automation
• Performance / Non-Functional Testing (NFT)

• Selenium
• Appium
• Healenium
• RestAssured
• JMeter
• Test automation frameworks and reusable test asset development

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to drive quality engineering practices across Agile teams.
• Passion for continuous improvement and delivering high-quality solutions.
