We’re looking for a Commercial Team Lead (SMB) to join our Manchester team. In this role, you’ll lead a team of Italian-speaking Account Managers to drive growth for our small and medium-sized restaurant partners across the Italian market.

Responsibilities

You’ll be joining the SMB Account Management team. We focus on the heart of Deliveroo’s marketplace: the independent restaurants and small chains that provide the variety our customers love. Your mission is to scale this department by coaching talent and refining our commercial strategies.

  • Directly manage and develop a team of Account Managers with varying levels of expertise, overseeing recruitment, performance frameworks, and reward.

  • Coach the team through regular 1:1s and development plans, focusing on commercial best practices like contract negotiation and growth pitching.

  • Maintain high team morale and engagement, ensuring a high-performance culture with low turnover.

  • Manage resources and prioritise workloads to ensure the team consistently hits growth and retention targets.

  • Partner with Learning & Development to create high-value training content that elevates the team's commercial impact.

  • Use data and performance analytics to adjust targets, measure success, and report progress to the Head of Account Management.

  • Act as a stakeholder for the SMB department on cross-functional projects, ensuring the needs of the Account Management team are represented.

  • Resolve complex partner escalations, identifying root causes to improve overall service quality and procedural efficiency.
