Revit Design Technician

Responsibilities The primary role and responsibilities of Interior Design Technician are as follows; Gain a clear understanding of the client’s processes, procedures and standards including but not limited to ‘Job Files’ and operating platform requirements (Procore). Support key projects through the provision of technical project and design documentation. Facilitate the development of Revit skills amongst the team, mentoring, training, and establishing standard templates that provide ongoing improvement in terms of expertise and effectiveness. Liaison with local authorities and consultants for Resource and Building Consents, exemptions, minor variations and Building Consent amendments. Communicate clearly with project team including Design Studio Manager, Project Manager and Account Manager. Work as a team to complete documentation in a timely fashion to meet program and client expectations. Assist designers and architects in taking briefs, site measurements and fully understanding client requirements and provide design, creative and technical expertise to facilitate converting pitches into projects as and when required. Preparation of architectural documentation through all stages of design phase including working drawings, consent and construction documentation for both architectural and interior projects. Perform the role of lead design consultant including liaison and coordination with other consultants to deliver the design requirements of the project. Attend to on-site contractor queries and compliance requirements during construction. Deliver projects in a manner that exceeds client expectations. Generally, contribute to the ongoing improvement in all aspects of design and external delivery for the client’s clients. Additional responsibilities as mutually agreed between the parties. Requirements Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial interior design. Strong technical design and architectural documentation skills. Advanced Revit proficiency (mentoring, training, and template creation). Expertise in NZ Building Code, NZ Standards, and local authority consents. Experience in lead consultant roles, coordinating external consultants and site contractors. Proficiency in CAD drafting and project management platforms (e.g., Procore). Proven ability to manage project hours, financial risks, and design workflows. Skilled in site measurement, client briefing, and technical pitch support. Work Arrangement Work Setup: On-site Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm PHT, should complete nine (9) hours work, inclusive of one (1) hour lunch break Why you should join our team!
