Developmental Options is a private non-profit company serving the Pocatello area. We operate several Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF), sometimes referred to as a group home. Candidate will work with children and adults who need support with activities of daily living such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, grooming, self-administration of medication, behavioral supports and accessing the community.

Demonstrates a clear understanding of the Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) role within an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) setting, including responsibility for coordinating person-centered services, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting individuals’ active treatment and quality of life. Some of the responsibilities listed below:
- Be knowledgeable with the ICF/IID regulations (federal and state)
- Conducts functional assessments of all individuals receiving services in the ICFs/IID
- Coordinates/supervises the development of an individual treatment plan for each individual receiving services in the ICFs/IID.
- Develops/supervises specific training or habilitation programs and modifies them as necessary to achieve individual objectives
- Investigates issues related to Adult Protection and/or Child Protection such as abuse, neglect, repeated falls,
unexplained injuries, resident to resident assaults, etc - Supervises behavioral programming development, implementation, and modification

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Social Work. Sociology, Psychology or other related field
- Good computer, written and oral communication skills
- Applicant must be able to satisfy a background check and comply with the company’s drug free workplace policy
- Must have a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates knowledge and skills in the following areas:
- behavior management,
- developmental disabilities,
- physical handicaps,
- functional assessment,
- training techniques,
- knowledge of the functions and contributions of the allied health fields and the interdisciplinary team approach,
- learning theories and principles
- Must meet the definition, both state and federal, to be considered a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (Q.I.D.P.)
- Demonstrated organizational ability and supervisory capability
Preferred:
- Two year’s experience working directly with adults or children with intellectual disabilities in an ICF setting
- Possess a good driving record and show proof of current driver’s license and insurance
- Preference will be given for direct work experience in Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities with successful survey process experience
Work Schedule: 40 hours, full-time exempt position. Working hours will be variable and adjusted to meet the needs of the corporation. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday with weekend support as needed.
Pay: Compensation range is $66,000 to $74,400 annually
