L2 Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced L2 Network Engineer to take ownership of network support and infrastructure across client environments. The role focuses on connectivity, firewalls, network performance, and proactive issue resolution within a dynamic MSP environment.

You will work closely with Systems Engineers and support both field staff and internal teams, taking responsibility for network-related incidents, escalations, and critical outages.

You will be working with a growing technology and managed services provider that supports businesses across technology, connectivity, and digital solutions. The organisation operates in an MSP-style environment where engineers collaborate closely to deliver reliable technology services and responsive technical support.

• Strong experience working within an MSP environment
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure networking components
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
• Hands-on experience with RMM/PSA platforms such as Kaseya, N-able, or similar
• Strong knowledge of firewalls, routing, and switching
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting VPNs
• Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, and core networking principles
• Experience with Azure VNets, NSGs, and connectivity

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to remain calm and methodical during outages and critical incidents
• Confidence explaining technical issues clearly to non-technical users
• Proactive approach focused on preventing recurring issues
• Strong ability to collaborate with other technical teams during incidents
• High level of accountability and ownership

• Troubleshoot network issues across LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall environments
• Support connectivity for remote users and field-based teams, including iPads and mobile devices
• Configure, maintain, and support network infrastructure
• Investigate and resolve connectivity and network performance issues

• Support Microsoft Azure networking environments
• Configure and troubleshoot VNets, connectivity, and related networking components
• Assist with maintaining reliable connectivity across cloud and client environments

• Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues
• Resolve network outages efficiently and minimise service disruption
• Collaborate with Systems Engineers on broader technical incidents
• Support escalations and critical network outages
• Maintain clear communication throughout incidents and resolutions

• Network-related incidents are resolved efficiently
• Client environments maintain stable and reliable connectivity
• Technical issues are communicated clearly to non-technical users
• Potential network issues are identified and addressed proactively
